Are you a lover of Boho home decor style?
Yeah, us too!
If you’re anything like us, you simply can’t help but fall in love with the unique, artistic and unconventional styles that boho brings. Free spirited and unrestricted, it’s easy to see why these eclectic looks are so coveted.
“The recipe for the perfect boho style is a pinch of indie, a dash of gypsy, a sprinkling of free-spirited nature and topped with lots of charm. It’s about collected treasures, blending old and new to create a unique, lived-in look.”
The real beauty of a Boho Chic home is that there are no rules. It’s what feel right to you, what feels fun, interesting and effortless! To get you started, here are five things you can add to a room to bring on that Boho vibe:
1. Plants
Plants not only breathe life into your space (literally) studies have shown that plants help calm and destress the brain – and it doesn’t matter if they’re real or fake. Elegant ferns, earthy succulents, trendy cactus and delicate ivy add a gentle touch of Mother Nature.

2. Layers of Texture
Texture adds dimension to space, so throw in as many textures as you want and can to a room. Put linen next to metal, next to wood, next to glass, next to plants, next to distressed brick, next to mirror – just throw it all together. The more texture in a room, the better. It doesn’t have to be cluttered but light reflects differently off of different materials and with more textures in a room, it adds a beauty and depth to the overall look whilst still managing to stay casual.

3. Prints (on prints)
Just like with texture, there are no hard and fast rules about prints. The look concerns itself more with having a good time than it does with being perfectly styled. Stick to similar tones if you prefer to keep the look ‘finished.’

4. Eclectic Home Decor Pieces
Decorative candles, paisley shawls, potted plants, and glass vases pulled into artistic displays tell your guests who you are without having to say a word. Collections of curated chaos add interest and inspiration to your space.

5. Area Rugs
If you can’t decide which style of rug you like most – Oriental, ikat, or jute – then you’re in luck! Boho decor embraces the use of multiple rug styles in overlapping layers. We layer pillows on the couch and blankets drape over the couch, why not also layer the rugs? Layer them one on top of the other in playful, unexpected ways to add warmth and a laid-back look to any room.
